The Cradley Heath Speedway web site has been on-line since September 1998 and has grown consistently over the last few years into the ultimate source for the broadest set of information about the famous Black Country club.
If you are unfamiliar with the sport of speedway, you may like to read the brief What is Speedway? page, or view our extensive speedway links page. As a club, the Cradley "Heathens" have been existence since 1947, racing in the small industrial town of Cradley Heath which is located in the Midlands at the heart of the UK. Despite an illustrious history, the club have not raced competitively for several years due to the sale, in the mid-nineties, of our home stadium to property developers.
There are over 300 pages of information and many photographs on this site, all of which can be accessed via the left-hand site menu:
There is all the Latest News regarding the development of the former Dudley Wood stadium and the ongoing quest to relocate the club within the local area, and a regular opinion-based Editorial article, written exclusively for the web site. Supporters social organisation, H.S.S.C - (Heathens Speedway Supporters Club) is also represented with all the updates regarding travel and other forthcoming events. The former supporters organisation Club CH is also represented in archive form.
You can interact with the site in a number of ways. First and foremost is the hugely popular Fans Forum, where you can read and leave messages to be viewed by any other supporters. You can e-mail us with any news, views or opinions at any time.
One of the main features of the site is the ever-increasing historical section, which includes a complete season by season Club History and a full Riders A-Z including every single Cradley Heath rider ever! This is a section virtually unrivalled by any other speedway website on the Internet. Miscellaneous extras include an Honours List, a year by year display of matchday Programme covers and a section detailing the recent history of Dudley Wood. There are also a host of minor additional articles accessible through the Features menu, including the history of the coveted Golden Hammer Individual Meeting, the Dudley Wood Track Records and much more!
Finally, you can find out a little more about the authors and editors of the site (About Us) or view what we believe is the most comprehensive speedway links page in the business!
We hope you enjoy visiting the site and welcome you back at any time and as often as you like to join the tens of thousands of visits we have so far received (see the counter in the top left!). We'd also love to hear from you so please do drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
