Profile...

Ian started his speedway career at Reading in 1976 he had 8 matches with the Racers and was loaned out to Easbourne. He returned to Reading in 1977 for 16 matches and was loaned out to Stoke where he rode in 32 matches for an average of 6.67.  He stayed with Stoke for the 1978 and 1979 seasons for the most successful part of his speedway career.  He had 2 spells with Mildenhall in 1980 and 1981.
He rode for Cradley on 2 occasions, in 1979 scoring 2 points + 1 bonus from 6 rides, both matches were in Yorkshire at Sheffield and Hallifax.
He became a professional rider at the beginning of 1982 with Cradley, mostly at reserve with his best score of a 9 point maximum at Oxford in April in an Inter League Challenge.

Unfortunately Ian passed away in 2015 when he was just 57 year old.
