Provincial League winners medal 1961, 1962 (Poole)


Profile...
Former grass track and scrambles rider who joined Poole in the Provincial League in 1961 earning a league winners medal in 1961 and 1962.  He had an average of over 6 points per match in 1961 and over 7 in 1962 with the Pirates.
Business obligations saw his average drop in 1963 and 1964 to just over 5.00.
He moved to Exeter in 1964 and increased his scores considerably getting an average of 8.7 that season. He left Exeter in 1965 and joined Cradley at the end of June.
He had 12 matches with the Heathens for his average of 4.17. his best score of 10+2 against the Wolves in the Dudley - Wolves Trophy on 28th August. Unfortunately he had only one more match (at Long Eaton on 31st August) before leaving the club.
Tim went on to join Newport in 1966 but crashed at Exeter and broke both his legs, he then went back to Exeter 1967, Oxford 19, Poole, Exeter then Wembley in 1971 and  1972, his average had now dropped to 1.71 and he decided to retire.
