|Tyler's first taste of speedway was at Plymouth in 2008 in a 250cc
class, finished a creditable 3rd place. He progressed onto 500cc
speedway in 2010. He rode in the 2010 British Under 15 Championships
where he finished 4th in the series.
In 2011 Tyler started the season full of confidence and loving his new career, however he had a crash at Poole early on in the year and broke his leg which caused him to miss most of the season. In 2012 he rode in the Anglia Junior League with Mildenhall and Coventry in the Midland Development League. Tyler rode in the British Under 16 Championships finishing joint 5th with Adam Ellis. He names Michael Coles as the rider who got him involved in the sport at his hometown track Exeter at the County Ground he was then only eight years old though!
the Heathens number 8, he made his Cradley debut on 24th June 2015
against Birmingham - he had a baptism of fire with 2 falls and a
retirement from his three rides. Cradley persevered with him for the
rest of the season but his best score was 4+1 points against Buxton in
Tyler returned to the Heathens to replace Shelby Rutherford who was not settling in as well as the management expected. However after just 2 matches and a dislocated elbow and damaged hand at Perry Barr against Isle of Wight. He made no further appearances and was replaced with various 3 point unattached riders for the rest of the season.
