Danny started his speedway career with Rye House in 2005-2007 riding for Rye House junior team 2008 - 2009. He had a spell with Birmingham in 2010 and NL speedway with Bournmouth and Weymouth in 2011 - 2013 moving to Mildenhall where he stayed from 2014 until 2018 with short spells with Eastbourne and Peterborough.
In 2019 he joined the Heathens with his first match against his old team Mildenhall where he scored 11 points from 4 rides dropping his only point to Danny Ayres in heat 5. With his next big score at Mildenhall on 9th June with 13 from 5 rides!
Despite his opening score of 11 he did struggle around Monmore throwing away points with many uncharacteristic falls.  Cradley expected more from such an experienced NL star like Dan but he was a good middle order rider swapping the third heat-leader role with Luke Harris.
